TIME TO GIVE THANKS!
Chamonix and Jaspaar share their thoughts and count their blessings...
Chamonix's list:
- I'm thankful for my family and my home
- my favorite toys; my sherpa lamix and my velvet bunny
- my cozy warm bed
- frostee paws that Dad makes (see archive for recipe)
- sheltie cookies that Mom bakes (see archives/FORUM/December 1999 for recipe)
- getting brushed in front of a warm fireplace
- snuggling up in the afghan with Mom
- our long walks on the grass runway and lots of trips to Hidden Lake Gardens to see all the flowers and animals
- being 'oldest' so Jaspaar has to listen to *me* and I can be a good role model for him
- learning all my new obedience commands and showing them to my friends and family
Jaspaar's list:
- I'm thankful for my family and their constant attention 24/7 and my home with all the good food in it
- Alllllllllll of my toys (and all of Chamix's that I can swipe and tease her with)
- my big cushion bed and sneaking onto Chamix's cushion for a quick nap when no one is looking
- ten million gazillion gallons of frostee paws that Dad makes
- a hundred million gazillion sheltie cookies that Mom bakes
- watching Chamix get brushed and playing a looooooooong game of 'you ca-an't catch me' when it's my turn
- snuggling up in the afghan with Chamix and Mom and my bear and my dinosaur and my frisbee and my ball and my squirrel and my elephant and my bear and my parrot and.....allllll the other guys
- long runs on the runway and trips to Hidden Lake Gardens to bark at the swans and the birds and the deer and the racoons and the woodchucks and the people and the other dogs and the flowers
- being the youngest so I can always tease Chamix and Mom and Dad will just sigh (a lot!) and say "he's *such* a puppy!"
- trying to learn ALL the obedience commands that a five second attention span will allow
...and as for our Mom and Dad...well, they're thankful for...US!!
